Joint
venture and exclusive agency agreements serve to
broaden and enhance the scope of services
offered to clients.
Seaforth Engineering Group Inc. has
several joint ventures and exclusive agency
agreements with leading-edge engineering and
geoscience firms.
Veripos
DGPS Services ( www.veripos.com
) has chosen Seaforth Engineering as the
exclusive Canadian agents for their Inmarsat
satellite-based and HF radio-based DGPS
correction services. Veripos offers clients
highly reliable, long-range DGPS corrections
services with accuracy’s ranging from 3-5
metres to a few centimetres, depending on the
hardware configuration and range from the base
station(s). Veripos coverage has now been
extended to cover the high activity areas of the
world and is rapidly expanding toward a global,
seamless system.
Atlantic
Orient Canada Inc. (www.atlanticorientcanada.ca/)
is a partnership between Seaforth Engineering
and Atlantic Orient Corporation of Vermont.
This company provides sale, installation
and service capabilities for the global wind
energy market and for select international
markets such as India and other South Asia
countries.
Atlantic Orient Canada is currently
focused on marketing the AOC 15/50 (66kWe) wind
turbine and also provides field service support
for these and other turbines.
The company has been instrumental in
providing significant Canadian content to the
AOC 15/50 and in providing access to specific
market opportunities appropriate to Canadian
supplied goods and services.
In
Service Support Group Inc. (ISSG) is a
consortium focused on delivering marine
engineering and environmental services and
project management solutions to the Canadian
Navy. Consortium
members include Seaforth, Siemens Westinghouse
of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia and Notra of Ottawa,
Ontario. This consortium recently completed an
important contract for the Canadian Navy for
documentation management and engineering support
for Canadian frigates and destroyers.
CARIS
LOTS (www.caris.com)
is an alliance concentrated on delivering a
joint Canadian International Development
Agency/CARIS-Seaforth feasibility study and
development of training and capacity building
program for assisting African States in
determining the outer limits of their juridical
continental shelves beyond 200 nautical miles.
Exploration
Consultants Limited (ECL) and Seaforth
Engineering Group Inc. created a partnership in
2002 for the delivery of QA/QC services to the
oil and gas sector.
The joint venture was formed to provide
client representation during shallow hazard
surveys, 2-D and 3-D seismic acquisition
operations offshore eastern Canada.
To date, projects have been completed for
clients offshore Newfoundland and Nova Scotia.
The scope of services includes quality
control on the navigation and seismic data as
well as HSE audits for compliance to applicable
regulations and standards.
